SV-10 viscometer application stories A&D Scientech Taiwan (ADST)
1.Walking on eggs to make a sale?
It's a pity we cannot show you lab photos taken at an egg or bakery factory for this story, because it is very interesting; but after the ADST sales staff gave an on-site demonstration of our SV-10, an egg factory liked it enough to buy and install one.
In Taiwan, there are lots of egg suppliers and some have invested in special equipment and receive funding from the Taiwanese government to change the "traditional egg" supply-business to a newly generated "liquid egg" supply-business. This so-called "liquid egg" has recently become an indispensable ingredient for bakery, confectionary and other food processing industries.
The egg suppliers have to measure the viscosity of the whole egg, egg white and egg yolk. The whole egg is processed and mixed with sugar & water then stirred and tested for viscosity. The product of this process is whole egg liquid, or liquidized egg. During some processes, the egg white or egg yolk is separated and is processed by itself and stirred and measured for viscosity.
Bakeries and food processing manufacturers have purchased packs of liquid egg, which is classified as whole liquid egg with sugar & water, egg white and/or egg yolk.
2.SV-10 at Taipei Medical University (Graduate Institute of Medical Science)
There are some professors working at universities and/or R&D institutes in the polymer field who have decided to purchase the SV-10 and/or SV-100 for their studies after experiencing ADST's demos, which had been frequently implemented at exhibitions and/or end users'sites.
At the Instruments Show in Taipei a doctor from Taipei Medical University visited ADST's booth. The doctor's name was Dr. How Tseng and he seemed very interested in the SV-10, and asked ADST staff about SV-10's basic viscosity measuring method at the first contact in the morning. He returned in the afternoon with more questions. of SV-10, they were so confident that they could promote and sell this model as one of the most important models for them in near future.
Mr. Kono, the A&D Product Manager who has been particularly busy lately touring around overseas demonstrating the SV-10, explained about the SV-10 to Dr. How Tseng in detail. The doctor wanted to measure the viscosity of blood, methylene chloride and other chemicals and analyze it for his study. Some medical and chemical terms suddenly came out from his mouth, however, which threw us into perplexed silence -so Mr. Kono concentrated on explaining the SV-10 measuring method and WinCT-Viscosity data processing software. The doctor was very impressed with the SV-10 and Mr. Kono's explanation, and decided to purchase or find a budget for the SV-10.
Unfortunately, we have no further information on his study, but our SV-10 has been set up in his lab already. The attached photo shows the SV-10, which may be measuring methylene chloride liquid.
